This is built for videos where generic stock footage is not enough. QuickReel now handles that sourcing step automatically.

QuickReel has a redesigned interface built to make editing, reviewing, and exporting faster. The new UI improves readability, reduces clutter, and makes the main editing actions easier to access. The goal of this rebrand was not just to change how QuickReel looks. It was to make the product easier to understand for new users and faster to use for existing teams.

QuickReel now supports reference-based character generation for faceless videos. You can upload a face, product, character, or visual reference, and QuickReel will use it to keep the generated scenes more consistent across the video. This is useful for creators and teams building recurring faceless formats, fictional characters, brand mascots, or product-led storytelling where visual consistency matters.

QuickReel now supports XML export for selected AI edit templates. This lets teams download the AI-generated edit as a Premiere Pro-compatible timeline, along with a zip file containing the source assets used in the edit. This is built for editors who want QuickReel to create the first draft, but still want full control inside their existing post-production workflow. Instead of rebuilding the edit manually, teams can open the timeline in Premiere Pro and continue refining it with their own plugins, MOGRTs, presets, and finishing process.

QuickReel can now source relevant images from the web when a video mentions real-world people, places, products, events, or news topics. During generation, QuickReel identifies where an image is needed, finds a relevant visual, and places it in the video automatically. This is useful for explainers, news videos, biography videos, product stories, listicles, and commentary formats where the viewer needs to see the actual subject being discussed.

QuickReel now supports multi-reference image generation. You can provide multiple reference images and generate new visuals that stay closer to a specific person, product, brand, or style. QuickReel's active speaker detection has been upgraded. QuickReel's Director function is the system that decides how an AI edit should be assembled. It looks at the context of the video and determines where b-roll, images, subtitles, sound effects, music, and other edit elements should be placed. Director also helps route visual sourcing. Depending on the context, QuickReel can use internal assets, Pexels, web-sourced visuals, or AI-generated images. It also helps improve subtitle accuracy for names, places, brands, and important terms before the draft reaches the editor.

QuickReel's frontend editor is now available across AI edit templates. After QuickReel generates an edit, users can manually change the timeline instead of accepting the AI output as final. This gives creators and teams the speed of AI generation with the control of a manual editor. You can adjust the visual style, subtitles, b-roll, text, images, clips, music, animations, transcription, and aspect ratio before exporting.

QuickReel's voice generation now uses official Google voices, with better control over tone and delivery. Users can guide how the voice should sound based on the context of the video. This makes AI-generated narration more useful for faceless videos, explainers, product videos, and educational content where pacing, emotion, and clarity affect retention.

QuickReel's AI edit templates are now fully editable and generate videos faster than before. This update also adds two new templates, Julian and Split 2, giving users more format options for creating social-ready videos. QuickReel launched a free YouTube transcript tool. Paste a YouTube link and get the transcript in seconds, without needing to manually download, transcribe, or copy the video content. The transcript can be used for research, repurposing, summarization, scriptwriting, or as input for ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI workflows.
