NewFeature

QuickReel can now search the web for relevant b-roll while generating a video. When the script or transcript references a topic, person, event, product, or place, QuickReel looks for matching visual material across open web sources like Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, etc and places it at the right point in the timeline. This is built for videos where generic stock footage is not enough. News explainers, product videos, commentary, podcasts, and educational content often need visuals that match the actual subject being discussed. QuickReel now handles that sourcing step automatically.

  • Searches open web sources during video generation
  • Finds matching video clips and visual references for the topic being discussed
  • Places b-roll at the relevant timestamp in the timeline
  • Supports real-world references like events, people, products, places, and news topics
  • Reduces the manual work of searching, downloading, and placing b-roll

QuickReel now supports reference-based character generation for faceless videos. You can upload a face, product, character, or visual reference, and QuickReel will use it to keep the generated scenes more consistent across the video. This is useful for creators and teams building recurring faceless formats, fictional characters, brand mascots, or product-led storytelling where visual consistency matters.

  • Upload a reference image for character or visual consistency
  • Generate faceless videos with recurring characters or styles
  • Improved voice output using official Google voices
  • Script enhancer for tighter narration and structure
  • New visual styles powered by Nano Banana 2

NewExport

QuickReel now supports XML export for selected AI edit templates. This lets teams download the AI-generated edit as a Premiere Pro-compatible timeline, along with a zip file containing the source assets used in the edit. This is built for editors who want QuickReel to create the first draft, but still want full control inside their existing post-production workflow. Instead of rebuilding the edit manually, teams can open the timeline in Premiere Pro and continue refining it with their own plugins, MOGRTs, presets, and finishing process.

  • Export selected AI edit templates as Premiere Pro-compatible XML
  • Download all source assets in a single zip file
  • Includes timeline elements such as clips, subtitles, animations, images, audio, and b-roll where supported
  • Continue editing inside Premiere Pro
  • Useful for teams that want AI-generated first drafts without losing manual control

NewAI

QuickReel's Director function is the system that decides how an AI edit should be assembled. It looks at the context of the video and determines where b-roll, images, subtitles, sound effects, music, and other edit elements should be placed. Director also helps route visual sourcing. Depending on the context, QuickReel can use internal assets, Pexels, web-sourced visuals, or AI-generated images. It also helps improve subtitle accuracy for names, places, brands, and important terms before the draft reaches the editor.

  • Determines where b-roll, images, music, SFX, and subtitles should appear
  • Routes visual sourcing across internal assets, Pexels, web sources, and AI generation
  • Improves subtitle correction for names, places, brands, and key terms
  • Powers context-aware editing decisions inside AI Edit Templates
  • Helps turn raw footage into a structured first draft

This gives creators and teams the speed of AI generation with the control of a manual editor. You can adjust the visual style, subtitles, b-roll, text, images, clips, music, animations, transcription, and aspect ratio before exporting.

  • Edit b-roll, subtitles, styles, text, images, clips, animations, and transcription
  • Change or replace elements added by AI
  • Switch aspect ratios inside the editor
  • Works across AI edit templates
  • Useful for teams that want AI speed with final human control
